Islamic world

From Morocco to Turkey, via Spain and all the way to India, the civilizations of Islam left posterity remarkable artistic masterpieces: Moorish palaces, richly illuminated manuscripts, carpets with complex patterns, and ceramics with finely worked decoration. Coin engravers also took part in this artistic effervescence by transposing onto metal an Islamic identity made of calligraphy and refined motifs.
